Diabetes ( sugar )
Diabetes is a common condition where your body has trouble using sugar for energy. Think of sugar as fuel for your cells. To get that fuel inside, you need a special key called insulin.
In diabetes, either your body stops making the key (Type 1) or the key doesn't work well (Type 2). The sugar stays stuck in your blood instead of giving you energy. That’s why people with diabetes often feel tired, very thirsty, and need to go to the bathroom a lot.
The good news is diabetes can be managed. Eating more vegetables and whole grains, drinking water instead of soda, and taking a 30-minute walk each day make a big difference. Some people also need pills or insulin. Checking your blood sugar at home helps you know if you’re on track.
